Défi Réjean-Huard

img

For the past 28 years, the Réjean-Huard Challenge (formerly the “Petit défi sportif”) has been a key moment of the Classique, where inclusion and a passion for sport come together.

This unique friendly race brings together Classique athletes and individuals living with an intellectual disability or an autism spectrum disorder (ASD), paddling together in expert-level C2 canoes.

Renamed in 2015 in honor of Réjean Huard, former Executive Director of the Classique, this challenge has become the heart of our commitment to social development. It gives young people and adults the chance to live a rewarding experience, build perseverance, and take their place in society — one paddle stroke at a time.

Classique Séries

Citadel

Classique Séries is an initiative of the Classique internationale de canots de la Mauricie aimed at supporting the development of C2 canoeing and strengthening the provincial circuit. The program provides financial support to race promoters to help them organize their events and encourage athletes to take part in races across Quebec.

Classique Séries also recognizes the efforts of teams that choose to travel and compete in several races over the season. By rewarding their commitment with discounts on their Classique registration, we aim to honour the athletes who actively contribute to the vitality of our sport.

Through this initiative, the Classique internationale de canots de la Mauricie reaffirms its commitment to the promoters, volunteers, and teams who keep competitive canoeing alive. Together, we are working to build a stronger, more dynamic circuit and to secure the future of C2.
