For the past 27 years, the Réjean-Huard Challenge (formerly the “Petit défi sportif”) has been a key moment of the Classique, where inclusion and a passion for sport come together.
This unique friendly race brings together Classique athletes and individuals living with an intellectual disability or an autism spectrum disorder (ASD), paddling together in expert-level C2 canoes.
Renamed in 2015 in honor of Réjean Huard, former Executive Director of the Classique, this challenge has become the heart of our commitment to social development. It gives young people and adults the chance to live a rewarding experience, build perseverance, and take their place in society — one paddle stroke at a time.
*Free for athletes / low cost for accompanying guests
IN CASE OF THUNDERSTORM RISK: The challenge will be postponed to a later date
We thank Parc de l’île Melville for welcoming the Réjean-Huard Challenge once again this year
